Hot Toys has announced that it is produced a highly detailed 1:6 scale figure of Belle (Emma Watson) from Disney’s blockbuster live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. Distributed stateside by Sideshow Collectibles, Hot Toys has become the gold standard in recent years thanks to its detailed 12-inch replications of characters from film and TV.

Most of the time, Hot Toys produces figures from the action or superhero movie realm. However, there has also been a concentration on fairy tale properties like Disney’s Maleficent, as it released a 12-inch version of the titular character in 2014 - one that bears a stunning resemblance to Angelina Jolie.

Hot Toys has announced that it is going to be producing another 1:6 scale Disney movie figure, but this time based on Beauty and the Beast. Here’s a description from the companies:

As a bonus, the figure will come with 1:6 scale replications of Belle’s castle friends whom the Beast turned into household objects: Lumière the candelabra, Cogsworth the clock, Mrs. Potts and Chip the teapot and teacup, and Plumette the feather duster.

“Expertly crafted based on Emma Watson’s appearance in the movie, the beautifully realized Belle figure features a newly developed head sculpt, meticulously tailored and intricately multi-layered costume based on her elegant ball gown with various accessories, as well as a specially designed marble-patterned figure stand.”

The Belle figure comes with six pieces of specially hand-painted interchangeable hands (with a ring on the right hand); including one pair of relaxed hands, one pair of gesturing hands and one pair of hands for holding the enchanted rose.

Belle’s costume is a slim-fitting, lacy yellow bodice delicately woven from multiple layers of fabric, a bell-shaped yellow satin full skit, a pair of high-heeled dancing shoes and a necklace. Accessories include the enchanted rose, the enchanted rose enclosed in a transparent bell jar, and a specially designed Beauty and the Beast-themed figure stand, which is covered in patterns modeled after the ballroom’s marble dance floor in the movie.

Hot Toys’ Beauty and the Beast figure retails for $229 and is expected to arrive sometime between January-March 2018.

With the news of a Belle figure being produced by Hot Toys, an announcement of a 1:6 Beast (Dan Stevens) figure surely has to be in the offing. Since the Belle figure stands at approximately 10.2 inches, it will be interesting to see how big the presumed-Beast figure will be since the character towers over Bell in the movie. Following Hot Toys’ recent announcement of figures of Spider-Man (Homemade Costume) and Iron Man from Spider-Man: Homecoming, as well as a full size figure of Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, it’s already shaping up to be an excited year of releases from Hot Toys in the coming year.
