From the cybernetic future aesthetics to the African tribal influences, every inch of Black Panther pops off the screen. I mean, the list of things to adore about the movie go on and on: don’t even get me started on Michael B. Jordan. Regardless of one’s personal taste, the impact Black Panther had on this generation of Marvel fans will be felt going onwards into the future. So let’s have a look at some of the stand-out Black Panther skins from the Minecraft community.
1. Classic Black Panther
Check Out This Skin The original Black Panther suit might be my favorite design of all the Marvel heroes. Granted, I don’t have an extensive knowledge of the variety of designs from the comics and the greater universe at large. But within the context of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is there any cooler suit than T’Challa’s? Even this classic Black Panther suit, which was made over 5 years ago by the way, exudes the cool, sleek, and powerful energy of the hero and the amazing portrayal by Chadwick Boseman.
2. Traditional
Check Out This Skin I will begin by saying that I am by no means an expert on Wakandan culture in the MCU or African cultures. That being said, I love the traditional attire T’Challa wears in the film and on this skin. Creator tvpac nailed the robed look Chadwick Boseman wore throughout the film in Wakanda. I adore how even the little details like the futuristic wristband were included.
3. Helmet Off
Check Out This Skin My favorite version of Black Panther, and really any superhero in a comic or movie, is when they’re fully-suited up but have their face uncovered. The combination of superheroic costume with their actual, recognizable, down-to-earth face out makes any hero 10 times cooler for me. If you don’t think that way about T’Challa in this Infinity War skin, then I don’t know how I feel about you.
4. Kinetic
Check Out This Skin Since Wakanda has managed to become a leading global power in technology because of vibranium, it makes sense that Black Panther’s suit is the coolest because of that very material. The way the suit absorbs kinetic blasts, charges itself with them, and can release them all at once is one of the best video game-y mechanics in a superhero suit I’ve ever seen. Creator Waffle_Warrior perfectly summarized that awesomeness in this fully-charged kinetic Panther skin.
5. Infinity War
Check Out This Skin For how few properties Black Panther has actually appeared in as a character throughout the MCU, the impact they’ve made is massive. Everyone has a different preference for which film had the best Black Panther portrayal, some preferring the character’s own film, others preferring his debut in the Winter Soldier. Personally, I don’t think any Marvel film has hit the heights that Infinity War has, and that includes Black Panther’s portrayal.
6. Killmonger
Check Out This Skin Every great superhero story has a great supervillain. I think it’s fair to say that Killmonger has to be one of the best Marvel antagonists to date. Between Michael B. Jordan’s actually flawless portrayal of the character and the real world mirroring of the issues tackled in the film, Killmonger, unlike many other villains in the MCU, continues to sit with audiences and fans to this day. As far as actual character design goes, Killmonger has some of the best the MCU has done from the dotted chest down to the mirrored Panther suit.
7. Shuri
Check Out This Skin Creator stopitlikepastella_ has nailed the design and art style on this Shuri skin. T’Challa’s sister might be one of my all-time favorite characters in any Marvel movie. I love the trope of the goofier, super smart sibling, and Shuri is that to the nth degree. She’s got the quips, the smarts, the confidence, and with this skin, the design to ensure that I shan’t go another day without a Shuri skin in my rotation.
8. M’Baku
Check Out This Skin Gosh, the further I get into this list, the more I realize that I just love every aspect of the Black Panther film and universe. It hadn’t even occurred to me that I should include an M’Baku on this skin list, but creator Allergy_Man’s was so good that I couldn’t pass it up. The color palette on this skin is so good and so spot on that for a brief second I considered stopping what I was doing and rewatching Black Panther. It only took a second to consider it. Then I did it. Now, I’m back, telling you once again to download this skin.
9. King Killmonger
Check Out This Skin When Killmonger took over the throne after T’Challa’s supposed death, I was heated, but I have to admit that Killmonger’s king design looked really good. I hadn’t thought about how cool Killmonger looked as king, but creator BandedLlama had and henceforth made a skin to commemorate an underappreciated iconic look from the MCU.
10. Black Panther Doge
Check Out This Skin Alright, alright, I know this skin isn’t from the comics or movies. But this skin is about as internet and Minecraft as it gets. Who can really be mad at a corgi inside of a Black Panther suit? I know I certainly can’t. Especially since the corgi head is kind of big and oversized for the actual suit, so it looks like a big ol dog head on a small human body. Okay, I apologize. The cuteness overload is now over.
