But how do you pick the best slide-in range for you? We’ve created this round-up of the top-ranking slide-in ranges to help you navigate the buying process. We’ve taken into consideration the features, power, and capacity of each model.  First of all, you’ll need to choose whether you prefer an electric or a gas option. Once you’ve narrowed down your options, you’ll want to consider the size of the appliance. If you have a large household or enjoy entertaining, opt for a range with ample capacity. The biggest ones offer up to 6.4 cubic feet, perfect for feeding a crowd. If you don’t need that much cooking space, you can save money by picking a smaller option. Size matters when it comes to the cooktop too. You’ll want to check if the number of burners is sufficient for your needs.  As for other features to factor into your thought process, you’ll want to check the number of racks that fit in the oven. This is important if you plan to cook multiple things at the same time. Want to take the chore out of cooking? Treat yourself to an option with a self-cleaning function to eliminate the faff from maintaining your sleek new look. If you’re looking for a range that’s easy to clean, one of the best electric cooktops (opens in new tab) would be a great choice. Not sure whether you want a slide-in range or a freestanding one? Check out our guide to the best gas ranges (opens in new tab) as an alternative. For now, let’s take a closer look at the best slide-in ranges.

1. Samsung NE58F9710WS: Best slide-in range overall

The Samsung NE58F9710WS oven is one of the best slide-in ranges we reviewed. Its clever features allow you to split the oven into two parts, allowing you to cook different things at different temperatures. Another standout feature on the Samsung NE58F9710WS slide-in range is the in-built probe which makes it easier to monitor meats so you don’t have to constantly open the oven door. The racks are designed to glide smoothly in and out so you can add seasoning or baste with little effort. The Samsung NE58F9710WS slide-in range offers 5.8 cubic feet of oven capacity which is plenty for most families, however, if you regularly cook for a crowd the oven may be too small. The cooktop on this Samsung slide-in range is fitted with a ceramic stovetop which heats up fast and has expandable rings.

2. LG LSE4611ST: Best electric slide-in range

The LG LSE4611ST electric slide-in range is brimming with fantastic features. Its oven capacity is 6.3 cubic feet, making it the second biggest in our round up. In terms of features, you can expect ProBake, EasyClean, and electric elements on the cooktop that heat up fast.  The oven racks can be configured in seven positions and the oven’s interior is a bold blue color - the only one in our round up to have this finish. A storage drawer is positioned underneath the main oven area, however, there isn’t a warming drawer.  On the LG slide-in range’s cooktop, there are four main burners, a warming area, and one of the burners is expanding too. However, because the stovetop is electric, the heat is harder to adjust quickly than when you’re using a gas slide-in range.

3. Whirlpool WEE745H0FS: Best large 30-inch slide-in range

The Whirlpool WEE745H0FS has a large 6.4 cubic feet capacity - the biggest out of all the slide-in ranges that we reviewed. Unlike the Samsung NE58F9710WS, however, this oven can’t operate at two different temperatures.  What is great about the Whirlpool WEE745H0FS though is its Frozen Bake feature, convection cooking, and handy storage drawer. This slide-in range has a large glass door window so you can check on the progress of your baking without letting heat out of the oven.  The stovetop is electric and easy to wipe clean. It has two expandable elements that heat up quickly to make cooking easier. The ceramic top will need to be cleaned with specialist products though, and it is prone to scratching.

4. Samsung NX58K9500WG: Best gas slide-in range

The Samsung NX58K9500WG gas slide-in range has a great griddle area and a warming drawer.  The Samsung NX58K9500WG is a 30-inch gas slide-in range. Inside its oven, you’ll find 5.8 cubic feet of cooking space and below it is a handy warming drawer where you can store a dish until the rest of your meal is ready to serve up. As this is a gas slide-in range, its temperature is quick to adjust and you can moderate the heat on the burners easily compared to an electric stovetop.  The oven itself is fitted with three racks which can be configured in seven different positions. Other handy features on the Samsung NX58K9500WG include self-cleaning, its stovetop griddle, and a delay timer.

5. Whirlpool WEC310S0FB: Best value slide-in range

The Whirlpool WEC310S0FB slide-in range has an electric oven and coil burners on its stovetop. There are only four burners, whereas most slide-in ranges offer five, however, this range is good value for money due to its other features.  Benefitting from a Keep Warm setting, self-cleaning, and Frozen-Bake mode, the Whirlpool WEC310S0FB has a capacity of 4.8 cubic feet, which makes it ideal for a single person or couple, but not so great for a family.  Even though the Whirlpool WEC310S0FB is a cheaper slide-in range, it does lack some important aspects including convection cooking and the coil burners won’t be to everyone’s preference.
