Vampires always have been (and probably always will be) a hot topic. Dozens of box office Dracula retellings, hundreds of supernatural Buffy the Vampire Slayer-esque TV series, and thousands of whimsical taboo-love stories pretty much prove that. Vampires have also been around since The Sims 2. And the fact that EA continues to add them to the game via expansion packs shows just how popular they are with the general market. I’m going to assume that most of the people reading this also have a Vamp!Sim (or two) tucked away in their gallery. So here’s a collection of some awesome custom vampire poses for your darling blood-sucking creatures of darkness.
1. Vampire Collaboration Poses by Akuiyumi
Check Out This Pose Pack So here’s an interesting set to start with. Aside from the distinctly unique (and creepy) solo poses, the couple poses in this pack do not need Scumbumbo’s teleport statues to work! In fact, if you try to position the vamp!Sim and victim using overlapping teleporters – like most custom couple or group poses – you won’t achieve the drinking and attacking poses you see in the previews. The way to get your vampires to successfully feed from their respective victims is by using the “couch trick,” as described by the creator. Basically you sit both Sims on a loveseat. Then, you delete the loveseat. This should leave them standing next to each other, in the exact positions and distance you need to put them in the desired couple pose. Don’t worry; the solo poses (of which there’s 10) are a lot easier to pull off. For those you just let your Sim walk to wherever you need them to, and then pose them with Andrew’s Pose Player. More descriptions of the poses + posing instructions can be found in the creator’s original description, so make sure to read before downloading!
2. Undead Posepack by Sakuraleon
Check Out This Pose Pack Want to capture some sultry, sexy, creature-of-the-night-romance shots? Sakuraleon’s Undead pose pack has 4 suggestive couple poses that pretty much resemble the cover of most young adult novels with a supernatural theme. Hey, I get it – vamp love can be juicy. And the poses themselves are very well-made. I like how the partners’ expressions are a mix of playful and cocky. Like they know they bagged the biggest and bestest or something. The creator specifically says males on the right, and females on the left, so these aren’t meant to be unisex. But I say play around. Because I think different models could still work here.
3. Vampire’s Poses by DinoDell
Check Out This Pose Pack This pack of 11 solo vampire poses is pretty dang interesting. And I say this because I didn’t find many Sims 4 custom pose sets that portrayed Vamp Sims as sneaky, aggressive, and slightly manic supernatural hunters that revel just a little too much in their powers. So this pose pack is basically 40% snarling, 50% posturing, and 10% teeth. Some poses look a little wonky at first, but that’s mostly because they’re meant to be action shots – and maybe catching a vampire mid-action is a little weird. But it’s overall still a very solid pack that allows for some interesting photoshoot concepts. The ceiling poses, by the way, will only work on the lowest ceiling height. So plan accordingly!
4. We Drink Your Blood (Poses) by Wistful Castle
Check Out This Pose Pack Charming blood suckers, or territorial super-powered hunters? Wistful Castle’s We Drink Your Blood pack offers both options! There are 4 couple poses here; three of which portray the vampire feeding, and one that portrays a vampire jumping on its victim. I kinda like the jumping pose the best, just because it’s so dynamic. There’s one solo pose which also depicts sort of a posturing, threatening stance. Pretty basic, but as far as themes or storylines go, also pretty useful. I like the variety in this pack a lot. The poses are subtly related to an on-going narrative, but they’re not just variations of the same pose or theme.
5. Take Me Vampire Posepack by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This Pose Pack This one has the same “forbidden love” feel to it that Sakuraleon’s Undead pose pack does. But the biggest difference? These poses are less general/young adult romance novel, and more like a sensual supernatural fantasy universe. That being said, if you’re uncomfortable with that concept, best to skip this one. It visually narrates a pretty detailed scenario of a vampire feeding from their (kind of) consenting victim. If that suits your storytelling needs, great. This is also one of the least violent vamp packs I’ve got on this list. But if it’s edging too far for you then stick to Wistful Castle’s We Drink Your Blood or memeuru’s Vampires Suck poses (which is coming up next!). This might work better for your quiet, peaceful blood drinking scenes. The in-game pose list for this set is a little confusing though, because the actual thumbnails of each pose alternative with black squares. So just know that the picture thumbnails are for the victim, the black squares are for the vampire.
6. Vampires Suck Poses by mememuru
Check Out This Pose Pack This is honestly one of my favorite packs in terms of expression and originality. It takes the whole lore about vampires lulling their victims into a false sense of security so they can drink without issue, and just runs with it. This pack is a mix of couple and group poses, and the group poses are definitely one-of-a-kind. Check out the preview photos. I guarantee there aren’t a lot of custom poses like it. And the poses themselves are labeled as male vampire, female vampire, and so on. But I tried mixing it up a little. I think they’re pretty unisex, honestly. Just watch out if your Female Sim models are well-endowed. Their chest could cause some clipping issues, especially with the first trio pose.
7. Vampire Attack (Couple Pose) By Pandora
Check Out This Pose Pack Of all the packs on this list that illustrate a vampire attack, this pack is probably the most violent one. I mean, sure; most of the packs here depict vampires feasting on humans. But the act is either romanticized (Natalia-Auditore’s Take Me Vampire Pose Pack) or toned down and mellowed out thanks to magical vampire thralls (see mememuru’s Vampires Suck). This one perfectly portrays vampires as ruthless night-walking hunters that are feared—and rightfully so. Seriously, check out the group pose for two vampires, one victim. It’s a scene straight out of a classic creature feature for sure. And don’t get me started on the vampire child pose. If you’re into that, it’s deliciously creepy. On the technical side, however, I will admit that the lack of thumbnails in the pose list and the variety of the poses themselves (i.e., solo shots mixed with group shots) makes initial setup a little difficult. But if you use the preview photos as a rough guide, you’ll figure it out soon enough.
8. Deadly Love Pose Pack by Sunnie Simmer
Check Out This Pose Pack So here’s my takeaway for this pack. You’re a vampire, right? You need a source of fresh blood. You’ve managed to nab yourself a fine human specimen who’s more than happy to supply you with this treat under an exclusive contract. No more hunting, no more charming, no more biting down on screaming unwilling victims. Seems like something worth showing off, if you ask me. There are only 3 poses in this pack, and, yeah. Maybe if you don’t dress up your Vampire Sim then the first two poses could be mistaken for normal couple poses (albeit a tad bit possessive). But don’t worry, the third set of poses (aka the floating pose) blows that theory out of the water. As far as options and variations go, this pack is sort of similar to Sakuraleon’s Undead pack in that it’s just a vampire and a human posing together, showing off their love. But I love the simplicity and intimacy of this one. So I’m throwing it in here.
9. Violent Vampire Poses by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This Pose Pack The storyline of humane guilt-stricken vampire is also pretty common (again, thank you modern young adult novels). But I just realized that there aren’t a lot of packs here that showcase that narrative. So here’s one for the books. I think the preview photos tell the story pretty clearly, but I’ll quickly confirm: the 7 sets in this pack illustrate a vampire attacking a hapless victim. The hapless victim tries to fight back, to no avail. They’re drained dry and slump to ground, unconscious. We end with the vampire screaming dramatically at the sky as they regret their life choices. For extra angst, pose seven has the vampire staring dramatically at the unconscious (or dead, up to you) body before them. Aaand, scene. All jokes aside, this pack may be dark. But it’s also hella beautiful. If it suits your narrative, I highly recommend adding this to your mods folder.
10. Vampire Slayer Pose Pack by Monster without name
Check Out This Pose Pack This is, without a doubt, my favorite pack. Hands down. Concept? Excellent. Expressions? Beautiful. Quality? Off the charts. Originality? Couldn’t find a pose pack even close to its narrative. Not that I’m biased or anything but, damn. This Vampire Slayer pose set literally ticks all my boxes: a great theme, a captivating story, minimal props, and a handful of fine-looking poses that are easy to setup and cycle through. There are 10 poses in this pack in total – four solos and six couples. And they all look vaguely like they belong on sets from Van Helsing or Constantine. Think sorta like “disgruntled world-weary human burdened by their self-appointed role as supernatural guardian.” It may be just as overused as the whole “love-between-humans-and-vampires-is-taboo” plot that we’re all familiar with. But this narrative at least gives us plenty of action! And not just in the cool fight scenes from poses 6-9, either. Check out the confident posturing that the vamp-slaying Sim does in the first 1-3 poses. And the faux-friendly confrontation that takes place in #4 and #5. This custom pose pack gives us a whole damn movie, honestly. And I am living for it. (Don’t forget to check the creator’s notes for the stake accessory!)
